San Bernardino Community College District
BRJ brings an unrivaled depth of experience and commitment to SBCCD
Under the Measure P Bond Program, BRJ managed the San Bernardino Community College District’s $200 million capital improvement program employing revenues from General Obligation Bonds, State Capital Improvement funding and other District capital funds. The program includes 2 campuses, 5 new buildings, and significant utility infrastructure upgrades at one of the campuses.
Challenges
This was an operating community college campus during the construction of the project. The work of our team included management of the design process with a particular focus on providing the most effective final design solutions while maintaining full services and safe campus access for students, staff, and visitors. The BRJ team worked collaboratively with campus personnel, the design team, the construction manager, and the contractors to ensure both a successful process as well as a successful completed project. Obtaining DSA approvals for deferred approvals and Field Changes during shortened hours and resources reduction due to State Funding Shortages.
